なんかの弾みで久々にスミススレを見てしまって、結構興味深くて、ああ、おれ、スミス、好きだったなあ…っていうので、The Smithsの話でも…。しかしスミススレはタイトルからしてそれっぽいですね…。ごめん、スミス聴いててごめん…って感じがよく出てる気がします…。僕はアルバム全部揃えた、ってほどじゃなく、モリッシーのソロとかは全然聴いてなかったりするんですけど、スミスは大学一年生の頃とか、に聴いてたな…。学校行く時にハウスーンイズナウとか聴いて…って、念のため、別段暗い学生生活送ってたわけではなかったですけど…時折いろんなことが厭になってたくらいで……まあ、でも、それは今も、そりゃ、ないわけではないですけど…。ええと、スミスの話をすると、どうしてもいきおい三点リーダーが増え、どんより感が増しますが…でも、ごめん、僕もスミス好きだったんですよね…。暗いかんじだけど、メロディ、モリッシーのある種「きもちわるい」声、ジョニー・マーのギター…などを、美しいと感じていました！ごめんなさい！

↑曲のタイトルからしてあれですが、この曲好きです。「どうして僕は微笑みかけなきゃならないんだ 僕が思い切り顔面に蹴りを入れたいような奴らに」「僕のこの人生の貴重な時間を どうして僕が死のうが生きようがお構いなしの連中に使わなきゃならないんだ」…っていう、もう……ほんとどうしようもない歌詞が、陰影を帯び気味だけど割と明るいメロディにのって流れたりします！あと実は告白すると今でも歌詞に超共感とかしてます！

「傷つき倒れた人間を蹴りつけるなんて…悪いけど、君のそんな冗談は、僕にはもう笑えない」っていう感じの曲。僕は、他人をわけわかんないORESAMA・WATASHI基準（で、本人的には世間一般で統一された基準のつもりだったり、とか僕からはそう見える感じ）で見下してる感満載の人とか、それらの行為で心の安寧を図っている人っぽいとかを見たりすると、昔から頭の中でこの曲が流れます…。この曲も何か、か細く綺麗なメロディで好きです。スミスってこう、若い時に聴いた方がいいんだか悪いんだか…っていうバンドだよなー、と思います。
で、次に紹介する曲はスミスの中で僕の一番好きな曲、なので、もうこうなったら、次の曲は全詞を引用してみます…。

この曲よく聴いてたな…。スミスの話書くと全体的に暗い印象になりますが、でも、ごめん、この曲大好きなんですよね…。あ、でも、夜中にスミス聴くとちょっとあれなんで、今はUNDERTONESとかその辺の勢いのあるやつ聴いて、バランス取りながらこれを書いてます。人間、というか僕は、ですけど、いつも明るくいられるわけではなくて、そんで、明るくなくちゃ駄目とか楽しくなくちゃ価値がないとか、そういう考え方が僕は苦手っぽいです。
